The National Educational Development Center (NEDC) at the College of Education, Qatar University, maintains a strong partnership with the Alumni Teachers Association of the College of Education, aimed at developing educational competencies and enhancing the professional capacities of the College’s graduates through distinctive initiatives that advance teaching practices and build a professional learning community.
This partnership aligns with Qatar’s national efforts to improve education by empowering teachers to adopt innovative instructional strategies and effectively integrate technology in classrooms, thereby enhancing teaching quality and achieving outstanding learning outcomes.
The collaboration focuses on designing and delivering specialized training programs, most notably the “Educational Creativity Journey” program, which serves as a practical model of integration between higher education institutions and the school sector. The program develops both professional and personal competencies of graduates through two comprehensive training tracks emphasizing effective classroom management, diversified teaching strategies, educational technology integration, leadership, emotional intelligence, and stress management.
