Our department collaborates with the university-wide
Academic Planning Taskforce (APTF), QU Health college members, the Strategy Department, and the Executive Joint Clinical Committee in a dynamic, iterative academic planning process. This rigorous approach is underpinned by three core pillars: conducting comprehensive market research and environmental scans, reviewing existing academic programs, and evaluating proposals for new academic programs and entities.
The culmination of these collaborative efforts is the QU Health
Academic Plan, which identifies the major changes to existing programs (maintain, expand, restructure) and the new programs planned in the 5-year cycle. We revisit and update the Academic Plan biennially to stay in tune with the evolving needs and aspirations of Qatar University and the state of Qatar.
