This is a computer-based test designed to measure the basic knowledge and skills of high school graduates (from both the literary and technological tracks) who wish to enroll in the Sport Coaching program at the College of Sport Sciences.
The test was developed through a collaboration between the Qatar University Testing Center, faculty members from the College of Sport Sciences, and the National Center for Educational Development at the College of Education.
The test consists of
100 multiple-choice questions distributed across four main sections:
1. Mathematics (25%)
Topics: Algebra, functions, ratios and proportions, basic statistics.
Learning Outcomes:
- Solve linear and quadratic equations.
- Interpret functions and apply ratios in real-life problems.
- Analyze simple data using averages and percentages.
2. Physics (25%)
Topics: Mechanics, energy and work, projectiles, moments and levers.
Learning Outcomes:
- Apply Newton's laws to motion in sports.
- Calculate work, energy, and power in athletic performance.
- Analyze projectile motion in ball games.
3. Biology (35%)
Topics: Anatomy, physiology.
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify key muscles and bones used in physical activity.
- Understand major body systems (heart, lungs, muscles).
- Link physiological functions to sports activities.
4. Chemistry (15%)
Topics: Biochemistry, energy, and acid-base balance.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the composition of biological materials (carbohydrates, proteins, fats).
- Explain the role of chemical reactions in energy production (ATP).
- Apply chemistry principles to health and athletic performance.
The total time allotted for the test is two hours. The test is administered in
Arabic. The Center provides a calculator (Casio Fx-570ES Plus) for each student to use during the exam.

Registration and Payment

Test Results
- Test scores will be uploaded to the student information system (Banner) within two business days of the test date.
Important Notes
- Students are permitted a maximum of two attempts per semester.
- All admission tests are conducted exclusively on the Qatar University campus.
