    Important Notes

    • For more information on change of major requirements, please visit the College’s webpage on Qatar University’s website.
    • Please note that admission to majors and minors is competitive and subject to available capacity and the approval of the designated College and academic department.
    • Students applying for a change of major must adhere to the academic track of their secondary school certificate. To be eligible for a change of major to Science or Technology-based majors, students must have completed their secondary school certificate in the Science or Technology track respectively. Students graduating from the Arts track are not eligible to change their major to any Science or Technology colleges, except the College of Health Sciences and the College of Nursing. This policy applies to all students admitted to Qatar University starting Fall 2021 and onwards.
    • Active undergraduate students who completed their secondary school certificate in either the Arts or Technology tracks may apply to change their major to science-track majors, provided they meet the required conditions at the time of submitting the change of major request.
    • Students wishing to apply for a change of major in colleges requiring passing the Foundation Program should note the following:
      • Students must register and pay for the English and Mathematics placement tests online.
      • English and Mathematics placement tests for change of major applicants will be held according to the following schedule:
