    Online Orientation Program

    Welcome to Qatar University.

    We are pleased to welcome you to Qatar University and congratulate you on the beginning of your academic journey with us. You are just one step away from completing your admission and registering for your courses at Qatar University. Completing the Online Orientation Program is a mandatory step to finalize the admission process and register for your courses electronically.

    The Online Orientation Program includes a series of texts and videos that highlight academic policies, university life, and the most important services available on campus. It also contains short tests that must be passed with a minimum score of 70%. Please note that not completing the program successfully within the specified timeframe will result in the automatic cancellation of your admission, and you will need to reapply for the next academic semester.

    Frequently Asked Questions


    Yes, completing the program is mandatory to finalize your admission and register for courses. If the program is not completed successfully, your admission to Qatar University will be canceled.
    You will receive it via your personal email.
    You can retake the quizzes multiple times until you reach the required score.
    Once you reach the final page of the program, titled “Congratulations,” this means you have successfully completed it.
    You will receive the registration instructions email within 24 hours of completing the program successfully, via your personal email.
    It is recommended to register between 12 and 18 credit hours in your first semester.
    • New student: A student who has been recently admitted for the current semester.
    • Student ID number: Your unique identification number at Qatar University (QUID), used to access all university services. It functions as your personal ID within the university.
    • Course: An academic subject you will study during the semester. Students register for a number of courses each semester based on their academic major.
    • Academic Advisor: A faculty or staff member assigned to guide and support you in academic matters.
    • Academic Calendar: A calendar that outlines all important dates, including the beginning and end of semesters, final exams, official holidays, early registration, and add/drop periods.
    • Add and Drop Period: The timeframe at the beginning of each semester during which you can modify your schedule by adding, dropping, or changing course sections without paying a penalty.
