We offer and coordinate a range of general engineering courses that form a cornerstone of all programs within the College of Engineering. These courses provide students with a strong foundation for their major core areas, ensuring they are well-prepared for advanced studies in engineering.
In alignment with the mission, objectives, and student learning outcomes of the College’s academic programs, our curriculum includes carefully selected courses in the following areas: Programming, Skills and Ethics, Graphics, Probability and Statistics, Numerical Methods, and Economics.
Our unit delivers these courses alongside dedicated learning support, equipping students with the fundamental engineering principles required to understand, apply, and innovate with modern technologies, engineering practices, and emerging trends.
Key responsibilities of the unit include:
Coordinating between departments and collaborating with the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).
Managing timetables and scheduling for College of Engineering requirement courses.
Conducting overall course assessment and dissemination of results.
Periodically reviewing and updating syllabi for college requirement courses.
Overseeing budgeting, recruitment, and laboratory development.
