As a part of the 2026 Annual Research Forum and Exhibition activities, Qatar University (QU) announces the Visualization Challenge Award. QU Visualization Challenge is an opportunity for QU community to show off their skills and knowledge on an area such as photography, and artistic creations.
Eligibility
The challenge is open to all members of QU (faculty, researchers, students and administrative staff).
Categories

Photography: Digital photographs, including but not limited to images from cameras, sensors, microscopes, telescopes, and similar instruments; should not contain text.

Artistic Creations: This category includes works that express scientific ideas or concepts through innovative artistic methods, such as paintings, digital or hand-drawn illustrations, sculptures, models, as well as graphic designs or any other artistic creations that reflect the creative aspect of addressing research or scientific topics.
Guidelines
- Entries could be produced by an individual or by team.
- Judging will be based on the scientific impact, visual impact, and ability to communicate insightful information, their overall design, technical merit and originality.
- The university has the right to use the winning works in its activities. Full recognition will be given to the developer/s.
- In the Artistic Creations category, the judging committee reserves the right to view the original work if needed.
Winners
- The best entry will be selected from each category.
- Each winning entry will receive an award during the Annual Research Forum and Exhibition, on April 14, 2026.

copy of the visual entry, a written description of the entry, and a brief biography of each author (50-word maximum) should be sent to: rfvisualization@qu.edu.qa
The deadline for submission is 1 February 2026.
