This workshop explores the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the politics in the Arabian Gulf region, that include the six members of the GCC, and Iran, Iraq and Yemen. Since the outbreak of the virus in the early months of 2020, political, regional, social, economic and cultural aspects of life have been transformed, in some ways existentially. This series of three workshops seeks to critically reflects on the ways in which the pandemic has impacted life across the Gulf, focusing on three areas: 1) domestic politics; 2) regional politics; and 3) public policies.
